Meet Lauren!
Hello there!
My name is Lauren Collis, and I am thrilled to be a part of Weeks Public Library’s youth services. I currently live in Dover, NH with my husband David and our two adorable cats, Bodhi and Luci. I enjoy reading and writing in my free time, and am a tabletop role-playing games enthusiast and an avid fan of all things fantasy and sci-fi related.
I have worked in two other libraries on the Seacoast and grew up helping to run my family's bookstore in Newmarket, NH. I have a wealth of experience working with children of all ages, from raising my two younger brothers to conducting clinical visits and programs for grade school children while studying nursing. I also have additional education, training, and applicable skills when it comes to working with kids that have special needs, learning disabilities, social impairments, and other neurodivergent characteristics- all of which I have utilized while planning, organizing, and running several roleplaying groups for kids ages 10 and up.
I am incredibly excited to bring my passion for literature and storytelling to the Greenland community and can't wait to connect with all of you! Please don’t hesitate to reach out to me or stop by my office anytime, even if it’s just to say hi!
Reach me by email at teens@weekspubliclibrary.org, or by calling WPL at 603.436.8548.
